About Delores:
Today Delores is a teacher, speaker, and freelance writer and editor with nearly 200 publications. Her writings are found in Aglow, (The Christian Reader) Today’s Christian, Family Life Today, Prayer Journal, the Journal of English Linguistics, the Tamarack, the Minnesota Christian Chronicle, various newsletters, and several compilation books. She served as Publications Secretary for the 140 member Minnesota Christian Writers Guild for four years and is now Seminar Director. She teaches at Maranatha and Northwestern Colleges in the Twin Cities, as well as in churches and Bible Schools. Delores operates Creative Design Services, a consulting entrepreneurial business offering editing and ghostwriting for those preparing their own materials for publication. She recently completed Cec Murphey’s intensive Writers’ Mentoring Clinic which improved her own writing and increased her ability to aid others. Her true children’s book, Whoosh, appeared in 2007. Two additional children's stories have won 1st prize in international contests and will appear in collections of prize-winning stories or as stand-alone books. She is writing a coming-of-age novel being considered by several publishers. Besides writing and teaching, Delores loves speaking and traveling. In 1980, she spent 3 ½ months assisting missions in South America. In 2008, she will go to the Philippines on a mission’s trip. She led 15 people to Israel in 2004 and is currently planning another trip. Her two sons are local physicians and she has five grandchildren, and a grandpuppy.
